We are currently in the development stage of an Xbox live Indiie title “Any Other Day” but are also going to provide outsourcing to indie game developers and larger developers.
We have put a small selection of our Portfolio on the site for you to see our work.
I finally finished a small side project I was working on. Here is the video of the final level in Unreal 3. Please see my project page herefor a more detailed overview.
Just though I’d add some more artwork. This is more or less the final concept for the first level.
The idea that Sid wakes up on a lonely, distant planet really come across I feel with this image. The ancient civilization transfers well with the alien themed buildings in the background, as well as in the floor panels.
As I mentioned in previous posts I’m working on a new project. I’ve have a working title “Any Other Day” and its a story driven platformer. Its going to be built using the Torque X engine and released on to XBLIG. I have some rough concept art to show too.
Initial concept art:
I will update a little more about the story later but you play as a charcter named Sidney.
Sidney finds himself alone on a distant planet and must find out what happend to him and why he’s there.
I’ve not posted on here for a while due to my HDD firmware locking up (which I’m still waiting to have repaired) and the new project which I’ve been working on.
A new project eh?
I’ve basically been researching what tech I wanted to use. I already had a licence for Garages Games Torque X engine from my final year project at university and I’m familiar with it.
I must say the community over at Torque, especially the Torque X guys really do go above and beyond. Two guys of exceptional note are Giuseppe De Francesco of DFT Games and Ron Barbosa who have taken Torque X under their wing since the announcement that Instant Action will not being moving Torque X to XNA GS 4.0. They have also implemented the Farseer engine which really fitted well with my small project.
The CEV or Community Enhanced Version has really taken on a life of its own. Giuseppe has already formed a small team to port the engine to GS 4.0 allowing the community to keep building games! Excellent!
